Junior Motion Designer

We’re after a Motion Graphics artist to join our award-winning team. You will be part of a super-talented and hyper-creative team, working in a variety of projects, from slick digital ad campaigns to complex, rich interactive, social content and video.

Since 2006, we’ve worked out of Central London, designing original, world-class digital creative for clients, around the world. We’ve got a great team here at Waste. We’re proud of our creative culture and we value it as much as we do the collective and individual personalities and ability of every Waster. We have some of the most exciting, global brands as partners, including Supercell, British Gas, Camelot, Sega and Warner Bros. They all have one thing in common (aside from being a client.) They all want big, powerful, creative ideas that work for their brand.

It’s a long list of necessary abilities and duties but don’t let that scare you! If you have the right attitude, if you are indeed a true Waster you will be up to speed in no time with the help of the senior team.

The successful disposal expert must have:

Experience - 1+ years working within an agency environment for the junior position or just a great portfolio for the graduate role.

Animation - This should be your strongest point, animation skills need to be top notch even if they’re not fully refined yet. We’re after raw talent willing to progress fast.

Design - You need to have an eye for design. If you have design skills even better but not crucial.

Creativity - We need you to come up with compelling and innovative ideas around motion which will improve the project at hand and often you will need to use your own initiative before the the senior team or the creative director gets involved. We need someone that can think and do.

Proactivity - Plenty of people have this on their CVs but you actually need to truly be proactive and get the work done This is what makes this opportunity amazing because how fast you progress through the ranks will be entirely up to you and proactivity is one of the key ingredients in that formula.

And the following traits and capabilities are a must:

  • Advanced After FX skills
  • Photoshop skills are a bonus
  • 3D skills are a bonus
  • Highly organised and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ensure output is of the highest level
  • Exceptional eye for detail
  • Retouching and post processing skills
  • Good understanding of motion design and rich interaction and knowing its limitations in HTML5
  • Ability to deploy the skills across all different digital channels
